Safe and encouraging dance instruction for all ages.
MoveNation Dance Academy has provided safe, encouraging dance instruction to Houston's youth and adults since 2018, founded by Owner and Director Jennifer San Miguel. With a focus on technique and passion, MNDA offers dancers the skills to succeed in a dance career — from Mommy and Me pre-ballet through Dance Company auditions and adult classes.
MNDA has been recognized as a Best of Houston nominee by H Town Best, and dancers can audition for the studio's competitive Dance Company or perform in the studio's annual Wild About Dance recital.

Our Faculty
MoveNation Dance Academy is led by Owner and Director Jennifer San Miguel, who studied dance and entrepreneurship at the University of North Texas and Oklahoma City University, and danced with the Austin City Ballet before opening MNDA.
MNDA's faculty is exceptional for a studio of its size. Tesia Truitt, Creative Director of Planet Funk, has performed with the NBA's Houston Rockets and WNBA's Houston Comets, toured with The Roots, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu, and appeared on ABC, MTV, and CNN. M. Quimen Sanchez trained under a full scholarship from ABT legend Fernando Bujones and has danced principal roles with Ohio Dance Theatre, Fort Lauderdale Ballet Classique, and Cuban Classical Ballet. The team also includes university-trained instructors from Jacksonville University, the University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, and Stephen F. Austin, along with Hope Magee, an Acro program director trained at Master Ballet Academy and BalletMet. This concentration of real professional and academic credentials gives MNDA dancers access to instruction rarely found at a studio this size.
