Fitch Dance Company has been a cornerstone of the Kalkaska community since 1979, when it was founded by Jeff and Kathleen Fitch. Their granddaughter, Lacey Ingersoll, has continued the family legacy since taking over in 2018, blending tradition, creativity, and community for dancers of every age and skill level. With a strong focus on technique, artistry, and personal growth FDC provides high-quality dance training in a welcoming, family-focused environment where dancers build confidence, technique, artistry, and lifelong friendships. From recreational dancers taking their first steps to dedicated competitive dancers pursuing ambitious goals, we strive to meet each dancer where they are and help them reach their full potential. At Fitch Dance Company, we believe great dancers grow through great training, supportive relationships, and a studio culture that celebrates hard work, individuality, and teamwork.

Our Faculty
Our faculty is made up of passionate, dedicated dance educators who bring extensive training, performance, and teaching experience to the studio. Our instructors are committed to providing technically strong, age-appropriate training while creating an environment where dancers feel supported, encouraged, and inspired. We believe great teaching goes beyond learning steps. It is about helping dancers develop confidence, work ethic, musicality, artistry, and the ability to persevere. Our faculty takes pride in getting to know each dancer individually, recognizing their strengths, challenging them to grow, and celebrating their accomplishments along the way. Together, our team works to create a positive studio culture where dancers are encouraged to work hard, support one another, and develop a lifelong love and appreciation for dance.
