About this studio
Powers Dance, formerly Danceworks of Michigan, welcomes toddlers through adults of all experience levels to Holt, offering tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, and adult classes. The studio's mission is to instill a lifelong love of dance while inspiring self-confidence, discipline, cooperation, and respect for the performing arts.
Powers Dance is led by Owner Jesse Powers, also Artistic Director of Children's Ballet Theatre, who trained at Grand Valley State University and danced professionally with Inaside Chicago Dance in Chicago before returning to Michigan. The studio fields a real competition team, with dancers earning overall placements, scholarships, and Golden Ticket invites to Worlds.
