40 years of dance excellence in the heart of Honolulu.
Honolulu Dance Studio has shaped Hawaii's dance community for nearly 40 years, growing from an eight-member dance troupe once known as the Honolulu Gurlz Dance Company into a full multi-genre school offering ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary training for ages 3 through adult. The studio pursues a simple philosophy: the process of perfection, dance excellence, and purity of character.

Our Faculty
Honolulu Dance Studio's instruction is shaped by a genuine partnership with industry professionals, including choreographer Jared Ake of Boogie Down Productions and Ballet Mistress Elizabeth Miller, giving students access to a wider range of professional-level classes than typically found on the island. The studio's instructors guide dancers from their very first class through advanced, professional-level training, with private lessons available for students seeking individualized instruction.
