About this studio
Dan & Company Studios has provided quality dance training in Dunwoody for over 56 years, founded by Dan Youmans, who danced professionally with Six Flags and toured nationally in musicals including Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret before returning to Atlanta. The studio is home to the Atlanta Jazz Theatre Dance Company, formed in 1971 to give serious dance students a real performance and career pathway, with company members selected each spring by audition.

Our Faculty
Dan Youmans served as Master Choreographer for the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games closing ceremony and the 1992 Barcelona Paralympics closing ceremony, and in 1983 the Atlanta Jazz Theatre was officially commended by the Georgia Governor and State Assembly. Many of today's instructors grew up dancing at the studio themselves and returned to teach — Dan & Company now trains third-generation dance families.
