Kemper Dance Academy has inspired confidence, creativity, and community through dance in Colorado Springs for over 16 years. Founded by Jeni Kemper — a professional dancer and University of Arizona dance graduate who built KDA to give young dancers the guidance and opportunities she wished she'd had — the studio welcomes dancers from 18 months through adult in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, and more.
At KDA, the goal goes beyond technique: dancers are shaped into well-rounded people with poise, confidence, and discipline, whether they're training for a professional career or dancing purely for the love of it.

Our Faculty
Kemper Dance Academy is led by Owner and Founder Jeni Kemper, whose own dance career took her through a full-ride scholarship at the University of Arizona and a professional performance career before she opened KDA to inspire the next generation. The teaching team includes Danielle Grimaldo, a competitive dancer since age 8 with pre-professional company experience and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Cal State Chico, and Kayla Suyatna, a KDA alumna who returned to teach after training with industry artists including Randi Kemper and Ade Obayomi. This blend of homegrown loyalty and real professional experience gives KDA dancers instruction shaped by people who genuinely understand the journey.
