About this studio
Hama’s Dance Center in Studio City is a Los Angeles home for jazz technique and artistry, led by master teacher Hama, who was born in Tokyo, taught for jazz legend Luigi in New York, and moved to Los Angeles in the early 1970s. For over 30 years Hama has provided a space for dancers to create, teach, and live a life of dance, discipline, and excellence. The center offers drop-in classes, guest-teacher masterclasses and workshops, and studio rentals.
