Alabama Dance Works

I first became familiar with Alabama Dance Works as an adult student and knew before my child was even born that it was the only place I wanted to send her if she ever wanted to dance. The inclusive and welcoming “dance family” atmosphere is like nothing I’ve experienced in any other studio I’ve known. The teachers are supportive and encouraging while still providing quality dance instruction. I’m amazed at how much content they are able to pack in at such an early age. In my experience, it doesn’t matter who you are, what you look like, your level of talent, what your income is, or what disabilities you may or may not have—you are still welcomed and wanted at ADW. I cannot recommend them strongly enough!

ADW has been such a special part of our family for the past six years. My daughter started dancing here when she was just 3 years old, and now at 9, dance is still the one activity she truly loves and looks forward to.

Over the years, I have watched her grow not only as a dancer, but also as a person. She has developed confidence, discipline, teamwork, and friendships that mean so much to her. ADW has given her a place where she feels comfortable, supported, and encouraged to continue learning and challenging herself. The skills she has gained extend far beyond the dance floor, and as a parent, that is something I truly appreciate.

We recently joined the performance team, and we are so excited to begin this new chapter. After six years with ADW, it feels wonderful to see her continue growing in something she genuinely loves. We are grateful for the teachers, friendships, memories, and opportunities ADW has given her, and we are eager to see where this next journey takes her!
