My dance journey began at the age of 8 in Los Angeles, where I started at a competition dance studio before transitioning to a pre-professional one as I grew older. Upon moving to Boston for high school, I was eager to continue my dance education at a pre-professional studio. However, my search for “dance studios near me” yielded a mixed bag – from Mommy & Me Classes to Adult Salsa and Pole Dancing. Trying a different approach, I turned to the websites of dance competitions I had attended in LA – such as NYCDA, Jump, WCDE, and 24Seven – to identify studios that competed and performed well. From there, I had a pretty good-sized list of top studios in the New England area. But why stop there? A million hours later (or at least what felt like a million), here’s my list!
