About this studio

A place where every dancer feels at home!

Established in 1991 from a passion to dance and a love for children, Alma-Lea's Dance Studio has become a household name in the Lisbon community and beyond. We are a professional school in a friendly home atmosphere. Our nationally certified educators are trained to work with beginner to advanced dancers.

By giving your child the gift of dance, you are providing them with an opportunity to learn much more than just steps. We instill values, morals, and important life skills to help mold confident, accountable, self-disciplined dancers. We stand strong on appropriate music choices, modest but fun & beautiful costuming and creating an environment where the entire family thrives.

I was a student at Alma Lea’s for 15 years. When I had my 2 girls I knew I wanted them to have a home away from home like I did! My oldest daughter enjoys being part of the dance team and is at the studio almost every day of the week! Over the past 8 years I’ve seen her confidence grow. The teachers are patient and inspiring. Her dance friends are her support system. We love our dance family and we tell everyone about our dance studio. #generationsofdance

ALDS teaches more than dance. They foster mentorship between dancers, build confidence and trust in their dancers, encourage dancers to step outside their comfort zone, and offer many learning opportunities. ALDS is our second home.

My daughter has been dancing at ALDS since she was 3 and the studio feels like a second home. She met her best friends here and teachers and staff are caring and know her by name. We really feel like part of a family at ALDS!

My daughter has been with this studio for three recital seasons now, and the longer she’s been there, the more she has fallen in love with dance. That says a lot about the environment they’ve created.

The teachers meet students at their individual levels while still challenging them to grow in their skills and technique. As a parent, one of the things I appreciate most is the studio’s commitment to age-appropriate music, choreography, and costumes. The focus is on learning, technique, growth, and artistry - not on being flashy or shocking just for the sake of it.

Just as importantly, they teach lessons that go beyond dance. Students are encouraged to be responsible, respectful, confident self-advocates and to understand the value of effort, time management, perseverance, and humility.

There are plenty of studios where kids can learn dance. What I appreciate about this one is that they’re also helping them become capable, grounded young people along the way. Watching my daughter grow as both a dancer and an individual over these three seasons has been a beautiful thing to watch.

I’ve been dancing since I was 4 years old and now I’m 16. I’ve learned SO much over the years!! Every class I leave feeling like I learned something new and every year I walk away from recital with MANY memories made!! 10/10 recommend this studio for any little one starting or older one wanting a change!

A neighborhood dance studio with big time quality training. The most important part is that the entire staff believes in bringing up good people first, not just good dancers. Highly recommend!

I have my lifelong family here, and the girls I’ve danced with are like my sisters, couldn’t recommend it more🫶

This studio is not only a dance center but a family. Each teacher, works with each student and gets to know them.
